Has there ever been a more appropriate title? The words of the Sex Pistols are ringing true today. In the UK circa 50,000 students took to the streets in a riot to protest the governments announced plan to triple the cost of tuition fees of university. Now I know that compared to what we pay for university in America, the Brits pay very little (only 3,000 GBP or just under $5,000), but that is irrelevant. The fact that British education used to be free until 1997 & then went to 3,000 GBP was bad enough. I wonder what would happen here if we decided that education wasn’t something only for the rich, or if we were actually to lose our lethargy & demand that we shall not become indentured servants in exchange for a degree that is barely worth the paper it’s printed on. America can’t even pay the nation deficit, but the government is going to put on circus trial in New York. The court house will have more security, snipers on roof tops, bomb dogs, not to mention checking areas blocks away from the court house. American people struggling to pay their bills, but our country can spend millions on five terrorists while putting the people in New York in arms way.

Are the American people all talk and no action? I’ve noticed how some people just talk and complain about what happening in America, but the same people talking don’t do anything about it.

The credit market needs to be loosened up so that Americans can borrow, borrow & borrow. See we the taxpayers need to go into debt in order to help out the economy. It seems to me that much of this problem had to do with borrowing to much money and not being able to pay it back. Read the rest of this entry »
