Who can afford medical insurance when they do not have a job? Although medical reform is a point of consideration, unemployment is a much bigger issue!
There seems to be a lot issues being brought up that distracts us from the biggest issue our country faces; unemployment… Unemployment means that more Americans can’t pay their bills and have to rely more on other tax-payers to take up the slack. Also, less people employed means less spending which hurt companies in the long run. Ultimately, hard working “blue collar” Americans are at the bottom of the totem pole, but if you weaken the base of the pole, the whole pole will collapse and that will be the end of our country as we know it! By building up a strong base for the totem pole, we strengthen our chances to not only survive, but to grow. There are lots of issues that we must take care of in this country, but we also need to take care of them from the highest priority to the least. The Medical Reform Bill that is in the works now, rather it be good or bad, will costs the government as well as ALL Americans more money at a time that we need our money the most! We HAVE to re-establish our economy before adding more bills to the plate of the government or the American people! Unemployment is growing every day as more and more companies are laying off or closing their doors for good. Should we not find a way to provide jobs that pay decent wages so that people can afford to buy medical insurance on their own? I have heard more about the Medical Reform, and Foreign Policy then the future of if Americans will have jobs or if our children will be able to find work instead of competing with outsourced workers from other countries! I guess we will need medical insurance because we will be in the hospitals because of malnutrition due to not having money to buy food! Let me know how YOU feel, post a comment and let me know if you agree…
